Established in 1929, Academy of Art University offers accredited certificates, personal enrichment classes and accredited AA, BFA and MFA degrees in 12 majors including: Advertising, Animation & Visual Effects, Architecture (MFA on campus only), Computer Arts-New Media, Fashion, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture & Design, Motion Pictures & Television and Photography. Classes can be taken both on campus and online. The hands-on art and design courses are taught by practicing industry professionals who bring to the college a wealth of industry experience. Academy of Art University’s open admission policy allows all persons who wish to obtain an education in the visual arts access to an institute of higher learning; a portfolio is not required for the BFA program.
